JSC SELECTION TRIALS

JUNIOR STATE CUP SELECTION TRIALS

Griffith Touch Association will be conducting selection trials for the 2021 Junior State Cup to be held in Wagga from Friday 26th February – Sunday 28th February 2021.

Please note that the running of the Junior State Cup is subject to change at any time due to COVID-19.

Trial 1:   Saturday 17th October 2020, 10am at Ted Scobie Oval

Trials 2 & 3:  Trial date & time to be organised by team coach of age division.

 

BOYS & GIRLS AGE GROUPS:

Under 10s – born 2011 or 2012

Under 12S – born 2009 or 2010

Under 14s – born 2007 or 2008

Under 16s – born 2005 or 2006

Under 18s – born 2003 or 2004

Each age division will require a qualified coach for the team to go ahead. Currently we do not have enough qualified coaches for each age group.

Coaches need Foundation (Level 1) for Under 10’s to 14’s & Talent (Level 2) for Under 16’s & 18’s.

Griffith Touch is trying to organise a Foundation Course in Griffith if we are able to get enough numbers.  Anyone who is interested please contact:

PLAYER EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

GTA has an online expression of interest form for all players to complete who are interested in trialling  for representative teams.  This form will assist GTA by collecting information about players prior to the selection trial and save time obtaining this information at the trials.

The online expression of interest closes on Wednesday 14 October 2020.  Players who cannot register online are still able to attend the trial.

FURTHER INFORMATION

If selected in a GTA representative team, players are required to make a commitment to training as arranged by the team coach until the tournament in February.

ACCOMMODATION:  Accommodation has been booked in Wagga for players and parents. If you wish, you can choose to seek your own accommodation at another venue at your personal expense.

TOURNAMENT LEVIES  

There will be compulsory levies for each player.

Levies will include the cost of:

NSWTA Tournament fees

Compulsory uniform:   playing shirt/singlet, shorts/bike pants, socks (2 pairs)

Accommodation – 3 nights (no part thereof), Parent accommodation is not subject to GTA subsidy.
